  Wall Plug

A wall plug is a type of fixing used in building. It allows screws to be fitted into masonry walls.

The original wall plug, the Rawlplug, was invented by J J Rawlings in 1919, and the name has become generalized in the
UK, applied to wall plugs from competing manufacturers.

Early wall plugs were thick-walled fiber tubes, but most current brands are plastic.

Wall Plugs are ideal for external and internal wood joists and beams. No pre-drilling is required for most hard woods. It can be used as an alternative to coach screws and bolts.
